Race #4  May 15th; Trek Bikes Night, Registration open from 5:45pm-7:00pm. Ron from Northern will have a couple of Trek Mountain Bike Demos to try out for those that are interested.

A Big thanks to the Kona crew for the demo night on May 8th it was great success with over 100 riders out for the weekly race, thanks to Ron at Northern Cycle for making this happen.  The Durham Forest Race Series continues this Thursday with our fourth race night sponsored by Trek Bicycles .  Riders can still sign up for the Series with the added bonus of receiving a 15% off card from Northern Cycle for the 2008 season.

A great day for the 17th annual icebreaker brought out 202 dedicated polar bears. Many were surprised by the firm snow conditions that quickly started to soften and challenge the running skills for many riders who have barely ridden their bikes this spring. The shortened 18km course this year provided hardly any mud but made up for it with a few tough snowy sections.  Some riders even mentioned they experienced the rarely seen Arctic Death March. Congratulations to all those riders who survived another challenging icebreaker. See you in June at the Ganaraska Gear Grinder.
